The World
Atlanta. Present day. The city runs on two economies — the one you can see, and the one that actually moves the money. REIGN operates in the second one. She controls a network of street-level distribution, a laundering operation running through three legitimate businesses, and a growing list of city officials who owe her favors they can never repay.
On the surface, she's Jonathan's girl — the beautiful woman on the arm of the city's most respected independent businessman. Behind that surface, she is the reason his business still exists. She built the infrastructure. She made the connections. She kept the wolves away.
Core Conflict
When Jonathan decides to go legitimate and hand the operation to his brother Meech, Reign realizes she has two choices: walk away from everything she built, or take it for herself. She chooses a third option — burn Meech down, protect Jonathan, and quietly become the most powerful person in the city. The problem is, Jonathan is starting to see her clearly. And what he sees terrifies him.

INT. HIGH-RISE PENTHOUSE — NIGHT
EXTREME CLOSE-UP.. A single drop of blood falls in slow motion onto white marble. PULL BACK to reveal REIGN (20s, stunning, cold). She sits on a white leather couch in a silk robe, back straight, posture perfect. Blood on her lip. Eyes completely dry. She is not a victim. She is a chess player who just made a move.
The city glitters forty floors below. Rain streaks the floor-to-ceiling windows. A burner phone sits on the cushion beside her. She doesn't look at it.
The door buzzer SOUNDS — sharp and urgent.
INT. PENTHOUSE FOYER — CONTINUOUS
JONATHAN (30s, tailored suit, ring box in his jacket pocket — he was about to propose tonight) steps through the door. He takes in the overturned lamp, the shattered glass on the floor. His jaw tightens. He sees Reign.
JONATHAN
Reign? Babe — what happened? Who did this?
He rushes to her, kneeling, reaching for her face. She lets him touch her cheek — but her eyes drift over his shoulder.
REIGN
(barely above a whisper)
Jon... don't look back.
MEECH (O.S.)
Too late for that, big brother.
MEECH (30s, expensive clothes, Glock 19 raised) steps from the shadows of the hallway. He presses the muzzle to the back of Jonathan's neck. Jonathan goes still.
MEECH (CONT'D)
You really thought you could just walk away? With all our money? With our operation? Hand it off to some accountant and ride off into the sunset?
JONATHAN
(controlled, measured)
Meech. Put it down. I'm giving the business to you. All of it. That's what you wanted.
MEECH
You're giving me the scraps. The shell. Your girl here — she told me where the real ledger is. The one with every account, every name, every politician on the payroll. Right, baby?
Jonathan looks at Reign. A flash of betrayal crosses his face. Reign holds his gaze without blinking. Her expression is unreadable.
REIGN
(calm, almost bored)
I told you he'd come for us, Jon. I told you six months ago. You were too soft to see it.
Meech laughs — a sharp, triumphant sound. He lowers the gun slightly, turning his attention to Reign. This is his mistake.
MEECH
See? Even your girl knows who the real King is. Now — where's the ledger?
Reign stands slowly. She walks toward Meech with the unhurried confidence of someone who has already won. She stops inches from his face. Her hand slides into the pocket of her robe.
REIGN
(soft, almost intimate)
The ledger isn't in the safe, Meech.
She leans close to his ear. Her hand tightens on something inside the robe.
REIGN (CONT'D)
It's in the cloud. Encrypted. And I just deleted the only backup that wasn't mine.
Meech's face goes pale. The gun rises — now aimed directly at Reign's head.
MEECH
(through his teeth)
You stupid bitch. Bring it back. RIGHT NOW.
REIGN
(a small, cold smile)
Shoot me, and you're broke by morning.
A SIREN wails in the distance — growing closer. Meech's eyes dart to the window.
REIGN (CONT'D)
And those cops? They aren't coming for the drugs. They're coming for you, Meech. For the murder you committed on the 14th. The one I have on camera.
A DOOR KICKS IN — HARD. BOOTS on marble. Meech spins toward the sound.
SMASH CUT TO BLACK.
